Yoga at Midland Yoga Works

Yoga is a transformative method for achieving a positive state of well-being in mind and body regardless of age or physical condition. Our aim is to provide excellent Yoga classes and make the benefits of Yoga practice available to all.

We focus on alignment and safety using blankets, blocks, straps, and, everyone’s favorite, the Great Yoga Wall.   Our method of yoga uses a variety of props to assist you in your yoga practice to achieve proper alignment so you can truly benefit from each class. 

A typical class is comprised of a short time of breath work to bring focus to the body and calm the mind, assuming postures, called asanas, to focus on body awareness to stretch and strengthen various muscle groups, and a final period of total relaxation called savanna.
